Carli Lloyd Hits Winning Goal Carli Lloyd hit the winning shot that pushed the women’s US soccer team ahead of Brazil. The shot came at minute 58 of the one hour contest. The 26 year old from Delran, New Jersey hit a 20 yard shot off her left foot which turned out to be all the scoring the U.S. needed. The two teams tied through the first 30 minutes of play and Lloyd didn’t score until the 28th minute of the overtime period.
